Assessments
This is an accredited qualification. Formative assessments are essential in terms of measuring your progress. You need to submit the formative assessments through the online learning environment.
Summative assessments are done in terms of measuring competency. There are summative assessments for each module. These are completed in your own time, using real-life examples as part of your summative Portfolio of Evidence. The summative assessments contribute 100% towards entrance into the FISA.
You mark for the qualification will consist of the mark obtained in Final Integrated Summative Assessment (FISA). FISA is administered through a National Examination as arranged by the SABPP.
The pass mark for this qualification is 65%.
Admission Requirements
Grade 12 (Std 10) or equivalent NQF 4 qualification with:
- Mathematical Literacy at NQF level 4*
- Communication at NQF level 4
*Applicants without the required Mathematical Literacy criteria may apply to complete the Introduction to Mathematics module in order to qualify
