Introduction to Documentary Production

Documentary production is a growing and exciting field in the South African film and TV Industry. There are so many wonderful and exciting stories to be told about our country and the people living in it. With the rise of cheaper film production equipment, documentary production is now available to anyone with an understanding of how to produce a good documentary. This course will set you on your way to that story you have always wanted to tell.

Nicky Newman is a documentary producer and director. She has been making documentary films for 25 years and her films have been screened in documentary film festivals all over the world. In addition to being a prolific filmmaker, she also teaches documentary production at CityVarsity.
